y-3 | the autumn/winter 25 tennis collection

Ever fantasised about tennis kits that look like they were designed in a noodle bar at midnight? Y-3’s latest Autumn/Winter 2025 tennis collection has served that fantasy. Premiering courtside at this season’s final Grand Slam in New York, the brand pairs its unmistakable avant-garde energy with Adidas-level performance precision and Yohji Yamamoto’s uncompromising vision.

The 18-piece range includes apparel, footwear, and accessories for men and women, taking cues from Y-3’s wider AW25 creative direction. In particular, sharp silhouettes, asymmetric cuts, and bold graphics inspired by the Japanese ink techniques of Suibokuga, mimicking fossilised amber on fabric. This clean, architectural approach to tennis gear is complemented by just enough edge to make it stand out in a sea of whites.

Performance isn’t sacrificed for style. Built with Adidas’ CLIMACOOL tech, the pieces are engineered to keep players cool, dry, and focused during high-intensity rallies. Subtle design touches, like hidden front zips, integrated inner bras, and skirt linings with tennis ball storage, make sure nothing distracts from the game.

Hero pieces include the Y-3 WOW Dress for women and the Y-3 Tennis FreeLift T-Shirt Pro for men, each accented with bursts of the Suibokuga-style graphics and the Y-3 logo stamped boldly across the chest. On the footwear side, Yamamoto revisits Adidas’ top tennis silhouettes, reworking the Defiant Speed 2, Avacourt 2, Adizero Ubersonic 5, Barricade 13, and Adizero Cybersonic 2 into something unmistakably Y-3.

Shot by Michael Hauptman, the campaign flips traditional tennis imagery on its head. Instead of just the trophy moments, it celebrates the grit, repetition, and late-night training sessions that fuel champions. The visuals feature Adidas athletes Jessica Pegula, Iva Jovic, Sascha Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Jakub Menšík, captured in a dreamlike series that mirrors the collection’s balance between precision and chaos.
