emanuele bicocchi x pisa 1940

If you are familiar with the world of Italian luxury, you will know the address for the classics: Pisa 1940. For over eighty years, this institution on Via Verri has been Milan’s elegant cornerstone, a place where refinement was measured by Swiss watch movements and the subtle prestige of family heirlooms. But sometimes, even the most established houses need a creative jolt. Under the dynamic leadership of CEO Chiara Pisa, they have thrown open their doors to the Florentine rebel, Emanuele Bicocchi, whose name is synonymous with pure rock-and-roll style.

This collaboration is a true collision of Italian eras. Bicocchi, whose brand is defined by thick, braided, and gothic-tinged sterling silver pieces, now sees his striking designs recast in their grandest, most opulent form. The whole audacious notion, in fact, started with a casual conversation between Pisa and Bicocchi himself.

The challenge was to maintain the dark, expressive power of Bicocchi’s work while using the materials of tradition. The two houses didn’t compromise. The result is a capsule collection where Milanese polish meets Tuscan defiance in an intoxicating synergy.

For Chiara Pisa, this dissonance is the very point. “The engine of progress lies in the ability to channel our differences – once fused, they become true sources of strength,” she states. “This capsule collection is born precisely from the desire to share experiences and break with convention.”

Bicocchi shares the sentiment, clearly thrilled to make his formal debut in this new material world: “It is a personal as well as a professional privilege to unveil this special collection and to take my first steps into the world of fine jewellery in such an esteemed setting as Pisa 1940 – especially alongside someone like Chiara, whom I now have the pleasure of calling a friend.”

The visual language is unmistakable yet utterly luxurious. Bicocchi’s hallmark chunky curb chains, known for their satisfying weight and underground sensibility, are elevated to pure status symbols, rendered in polished yellow gold with diamond settings meticulously tracing the contours of the links. His robust, sculptural crest and coat-of-arms rings, once bold statements in oxidised silver, are now forged in gold and paved with precious, colourful stones that transform a simple gesture into a sparkling modern heirloom.

Other pieces, like the exquisite ornate cross necklaces available in both solid yellow gold and silver, showcase intricate filigree that speaks directly to Bicocchi’s gothic leanings. A delicate line of vibrant rubies (or sapphires and emeralds in alternative versions) set into the centre transforms them from edgy pieces into truly luxurious emblems, making them a perfect fusion of his bold sensibility and Pisa 1940s deep heritage with precious stones.

This collection introduces an adventurous new dimension to personal style. It’s jewellery that feels ancient, utterly contemporary, and perfectly capable of adding a jolt of delicious rebellion to even the most formal occasion.
