amiri x maison mihara yasuhiro | a cinematic sneaker collab

Amiri and Maison Mihara Yasuhiro have joined forces to launch a limited-edition sneaker that meshes their signature styles into a fresh, exciting design. The collaboration combines Amiri’s Skel Top-Low with Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s OG Sole Sneakers Peterson, celebrating the unique identities of both brands.

Inspired by the DIY spirit of Mike Amiri and Mihara Yasuhiro, this hybrid sneaker blends inspirations, materials, and cultures, connecting Amiri’s Hollywood vibe with Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s Tokyo roots. Both brands share a dedication to craftsmanship and quality, evident in this collaborative creation.

The Amiri X Maison Mihara Yasuhiro sneaker features Yasuhiro’s iconic ‘original sole,’ crafted by hand using clay, paired with Amiri’s signature nappa leather ‘Bones’ appliqué on a canvas body. Key design elements from both brands are combined, with co-branded woven labels on the tongue and heel adding a distinctive touch.

The campaign draws inspiration from Hollywood epics and Japanese cult classics, specifically Takeshi Kitano’s 2000 film Brother, his sole Japanese-American production. Atmospheric black-and-white images capture countercultural groups roaming city streets that could be Los Angeles or Tokyo, mirroring the movie’s iconic scenes. Dressed in Amiri tailoring and the Amiri X Maison Mihara Yasuhiro collaboration, their clothing represents a shared identity and community.

Available in two color options — white with black details and vice versa — the sneaker is available in limited quantities worldwide through select Amiri stores and exclusively at Maison Mihara Yasuhiro stores in Japan.
