For Spring/Summer 2025, KEEN and Études Studio reimagine the Newport sandal — not just as footwear, but as a study of movement. The collaboration merges KEEN’s functional design with Études Studio’s Parisian aesthetic, resulting in a sleek, hybrid sandal that moves effortlessly from the city to the outdoors.
The collaboration is a meeting of two distinct identities: KEEN, the American footwear brand known for its functional, durable, and sustainable approach, and Études Studio, a Parisian label that moves between fashion, publishing, and contemporary culture. Family-owned and purpose-driven, KEEN has spent over 20 years redefining outdoor footwear, prioritising comfort, innovation, and environmental responsibility — having been PFAS-free since 2018. Meanwhile, Études Studio, founded in 2012, operates as both a fashion brand and a creative collective, blending diverse artistic influences into its menswear and visual projects.

To bring this vision to life, the two brands partnered with videographer Grégoire Dyer and movement director Pauline Lavogez. The accompanying campaign is a choreographic exploration of the body in motion. Set against minimalist, stripped-down interiors, the film captures moments of control and release, stillness and eruption. Limbs contort and collapse, then rebuild, creating an almost sculptural dialogue between human form and space. The camera lingers on micro-gestures — a twitching muscle, a flexed foot.
The Newport, first introduced by KEEN in 2003 as a hybrid performance sandal, is a natural fit for this concept. In its Études iteration, it retains its signature versatility but gains a graphic edge. The Études “É” monogram is subtly intertwined into the design, with the sandal arriving in two refined colourways: black and olive green, accented with the brand’s signature blue.
This collaboration underscores the idea that performance and aesthetics don’t have to be at odds — they can work in harmony, shaping how we move through the world.
