Dan Gold grew up “on the wrong side of the tracks” – in Copenhagen’s Red Light District, to be exact, where he was exposed to a seedy world of violence and agitation. “There’s a lot of gun crime, a lot of gangs and gang wars,” he explains, “but we always felt that we had more to offer than that.” Gold, as it turns out, was right. One of the youngest people in the UK to own a tattoo studio and part of the globally successful television show London Ink, at 42, he is at the forefront of the tattoo industry.
