y-3 | the uniform of the streets returns

Y-3 rewrites its own legacy with the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, reclaiming its place as the pioneer of streetwear-meets-artisanal design. Dubbed the “Uniform of the Streets,” this capsule embodies the brand’s confident minimalism and roots in graphic-driven storytelling.

This collection signals a bold return to form for Y-3, with its central graphic — a strikingly pared-back evolution of the Uniform of the Streets motif from Spring/Summer 2018. Presented at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, the updated design is stripped of excess, featuring dynamic brushstroke elements that highlight one enduring symbol: Y-3.

Marrying Adidas’s performance heritage with Yohji Yamamoto’s signature deconstructionist artistry, the collection moves effortlessly between functionality and fashion. Football-inspired placements nod to sport, while raw edges and loose threads pay homage to Yamamoto’s craftsmanship, lending the pieces an unfinished, human touch.

Standout garments include tailored pieces like a blazer and elongated vest, each adorned with stitched-on embroidery labels that bring the Uniform of the Streets motif to life. Meanwhile, a knitted crewneck sweater and vest reimagine the graphic in woven form, adding texture to the visual story. Cargo-style pants and a coach jacket complete the look, offering versatile staples imbued with Y-3’s unmistakable DNA.
