For a brand like Ralph Lauren, 2025 has been a year of significant cultural momentum: from dominating the ready-to-wear conversation to consistently leading the charts in luxury Americana. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that the brand has been approached for the tenth consecutive time to design the uniforms for Team USA at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games. For this outing, the pressure is on to blend US heritage with the sleek fashion authority of Milan.
The weight of this unveiling rests on the shoulders of the athletes themselves. This diverse group includes record-breakers, advocates and champions who will proudly carry the legacy of American design into the heart of Italy.
For the Opening Ceremony, the mood is deliberately grand. The athletes will step out in a sweeping, statement wool coat, detailed with heritage-inspired wooden toggles, worn over the iconic American flag intarsia wool turtleneck and tailored wool trousers.
This look of timeless excellence is perfectly mirrored by the athletes it represents: two-time Olympic medalist Erin Jackson, who became the first Black woman in history to win individual Olympic gold in speed skating, and figure skating partners Maia and Alex Shibutani (the ShibSibs), who made history as the first ice dancers of Asian descent and of colour to medal at the Winter Games.
The energy shifts entirely for the Closing Ceremony. Trading formality for function, the uniform is inspired by vintage ski racing kits, featuring a modern, colour-blocked puffer jacket and a patriotic wool turtleneck over a crisp white utility pant. This dynamic uniform perfectly fits the athletes who embody advocacy and determination.
Among them are three-time Paralympic gold medalist Brenna Huckaby, a leading voice in disability advocacy who fought for greater competitive inclusion, and veteran hockey leader Hilary Knight, a 10-time World Champion who played an instrumental role in building the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). They are joined by two-time Paralympic gold medalist Jack Wallace, a beacon of resilience currently striving to become a dual-sport Summer and Winter Games medalist.
Each uniform is accessorised with rich details, including brown suede alpine boots laced with spirited red and R/W/B intarsia knit accessories. Every item worn by these boundary-breaking competitors, from young speed skating record-setter Jordan Stolz to dynamic mogul skier Jaelin Kauf, is proudly manufactured in the United States.

Beyond the formal parade gear, Ralph Lauren’s broader Team USA Collection offers fans a way to tap directly into the sophisticated, energetic spirit of the Winter Games. Anchored in the classic red, white and blue palette, the apparel – available for men, women and children – features striking graphics and refined details across inherently sporty silhouettes.
The range includes standout pieces like a rugged leather shearling jacket embroidered with Team USA detailing, a selection of both statement and iconic knit sweaters, and unique heritage hockey-inspired silhouettes. This is high-end fan gear designed to reflect the Alpine luxury of Cortina, with the collection available across select Ralph Lauren stores in the U.S. and Italy, including a special pop-up shop at the Rosapetra Hotel in Cortina during the Games.
