Baptiste Loiseau, newly appointed Cellar Master for Rémy Martin, raised a glass to a gathering of exclusive guests in Mayfair on June 11th. The Cellar Master, who takes over from Pierrette Trichet, enjoyed the ‘Baptiste,’ a bespoke specially made cocktail in front of 20 selected guests. The event marked the first time two cellar masters have visited the UK at the same time.
After 38 years at the house Pierrette Trichet, hands the baton of the Cellar Master of Rémy Martin to Loiseau, who is known for his passion, commitment and his hunger for knowledge, as well as expertise and skills. Loiseau commented on the role he is about to take on. “I am honored to be part of this lineage of Cellar Masters and I’m looking forward to this new chapter and the great challenge to carry forward this tradition in the future.”
Loiseau takes over from Pierrette Trichet, the first woman to hold a top post at one of the four major Cognac houses, who joined Rémy Martin at the age of 20, before becoming the assistant Cellar Master in 2000.
