It’s that time of year again. The buzz of summer is in the air, the weather is finally just right and talk about festival plans are in full swing. For 2025, we’ve scoped out  a variety of festivals in exciting destinations with incredible line ups. Whether you’re looking for a non-stop party, a taste of nature and wellness or memorable backdrops, Schön! has rounded up some of the most interesting and underrated festivals to kick off the party season. Each has an enticing quirk about it. You may find something new or something closer than you even knew.  

Medaina Festival, Jordan

Medaina Festival is an escape unlike any other. Located in the UNESCO world heritage site of Petra and the deserts of Wadi Rum, it’s the ultimate way to explore the rich history and culture of Jordan with an enticing international  lineup including Jimi Jules and Âme. Medaina is unique in the sense that it’s focused on honouring the local land and connecting people through a shared love of music. Founded by Tithorea, exploring the natural beauty of Jordan through sound is a magical once in a lifetime experience. 

21 – 26 May 

MOGA Caparica, Portugal 

In the its fifth year, MOGA Caparica is a seaside festival on the coast of Caparica in Portugal. It’s a three day extravaganza on the beach featuring the likes of Blond:ish and Zengxrl  across three stages. It’s also the perfect way to explore more of the local culture with MOGA OFF, a two day event before the festival offering a wealth of free events and parties within the community. Highlights from MOGA Caparica include surf lessons, partying on the beach, yoga and a sea to plate culinary experience. For a more immersive way to experience live music, MOGA Caparica is the ideal way to start off the summer. 

28 May – 1 June 

Mochakk Calling Festival, Malta 

As its name suggests, Mochakk will debut the first edition of festival Mochakk Calling. As well as headlining the festival, the Brazilian DJ  has welcomed host of some of the hottest DJs and producers across electronic music. Taking place at the peak of summer in Malta, the lineup is an international taste of the very best from Honey Dijon and Desiree to Love Foxxy and Bonobo. The festival is one of the most highly anticipated of the season, and with a such a major lineup it’s due to draw in an international crowd.  

26 & 27 July

BEONIX Festival, Cyprus 

Sun, sea and summer sounds are the ultimate combo to build timeless memories and BEONIX festival is set to deliver exactly that. Taking place in Limassol in Cyprus, the 3-day event features four immersive stages and a lineup of over 50 electronic acts including Armin Van Buuren, Brois Brejcha and Maceo Plex. Expect a whole lot of house and techno focused on bringing an unforgettable visual experience. Aside from being by the sea, the venue is also a novelty, located at EKTO, a former winery now restored and decorated with mural and art installations. 

19 – 21 September 

Queen Classic Surf, France 

Surf festivals are arguably an underrated niche for those seeking the live music experience. At Queen Classic Surf you get the beauty of a seaside town with natural beauty and sparkling beaches, paired with all the excitement of a surf competition and art installations. First presented by Vans back in 2021, Queen Classic Surf is a free and inclusive festival highlighting groups supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and celebrating all its competitors, including transgender surfer Sasha Jane Lowerson. For a fun immersion into the dynamic subculture of surfing, this festival is unmissable.
