Miss Sixty has always had a bit of an attitude problem – in the best possible way. The brand that defined early 2000s denim with unapologetically low waistlines and a distinct smirk at convention is back, and this time, they’ve handed the keys to London’s coolest creative duo to drive the car.
Alexandre Arsenault and Charlotte Knowles, the brains behind KNWLS, have stepped in to reimagine that quintessential naughty-but-nice energy for 2025. It’s a match that feels almost inevitable; both labels deal in a fierce, slightly dangerous kind of femininity that refuses to be polite. The resulting collection is a sharp, peppy and delightfully off-kilter remix where familiar details pop up in places they have no business being.
Worthy mentions are the boxy shearling coats cinched with sporty pom-pom toggles and bias-cut Tencel denim slip dresses sliced up by slim knife pleats that turn a svelte silhouette into a chaotic map of graphic lines. But there are also ultra-low-rise jeans (obviously) with jaunty hipbone pockets and flared capris in tan canvas that feel ready for a scuffle.
KNWLS fans will spot the subtle inspiration to their own greatest hits, too: for instance, the denim jackets feature a bodice construction similar to their emblematic Claw jacket, while the shoes are a jagged-toe, open-flank heel that reimagines their signature footwear in scuffed hide. The collection is all accessorised with slouchy leather bags complete with weathered studs and, brilliantly, a cartoon cat charm.
The matching campaign, shot by Marili Andre, is a pure product of chill-wave nostalgia. Starring Gen Z face-of-the-moment Alana Champion, the visuals are lifted straight from early 00s screensavers (exactly the ones we’re all thinking about), like hazy sunsets, rendered skyscrapers and desert dunes.
While Miss Sixty’s heritage is Italian, its new spirit is truly global. The collaboration went on a proper world tour within the last few weeks leading up to the holidays. After kicking things off with industry insiders at Opener in Seoul and a cocktail dinner at Nubian in Tokyo, the party landed in London for a homecoming leg. On December 9th, the brands took over LN-CC for a late-night event at the Dalston concept store’s dynamic space, L8TE. The tour wrapped up in Los Angeles earlier this week with a takeover at H. Lorenzo.
The Miss Sixty x KNWLS collection is now available worldwide online and at select stockists.
