Nothing is stopping Lali . With an epic tour, five studio albums, and incredible on-screen performances, the Argentinian star speaks about what it’s meant to slowly uncover layers of herself through her music. Lali, who wears Atsuko Kudo and Bárcena Joyas for her Schön! 45
Turning 30 meant a new decade and a new outlook on life. “When you’re a girl in your 30s working on your fifth album, you start to ask yourself questions about who you are, why you do what you do and if you really like your life,” she explains. “All these emotions are on the record and that’s why it’s very special to me. We composed it with a lot of affection and a lot of love and it’s giving us so much satisfaction. Lali was a risky move and it turned out very well for everyone involved.”
After spending her 20s working “like crazy,” she finds solace in the fact that, despite knowing she’s had unforgettable moments, she always is pushing away the feeling that the best years have already passed. What Lali does, no one else is capable of doing either, and it feels like this is only the beginning. Her tour has taken her to some of the biggest festivals in Europe and Argentina and, at Velez, she became the first Argentinian woman to sell out a stadium, with an audience of over 55,000. Last month, she performed in Mexico for the first time and released two Spotify singles: an original track “1Amor” and a cover of Babasónicos’ “Yegua.”
Looking ahead, after a year of performing her songs to the world, Lali is excited about the future. “What I can tell you is that in ten years I would like to continue being an honest artist who puts her heart and her truth in all her projects,” she shares. “I don’t know how to do it any other way.”
