Retorno sets out on a utopian journey, shifting from irony toward a future where traditional textile techniques reclaim a central role in garment production. The narrative playfully critiques the economic and cultural syncretism that shapes contemporary Chile — a legacy of global hegemonies that has blurred the contours of national identity. Yet, by reviving pre-colonial craftsmanship, it envisions a comforting future in which production harmonizes with available resources and natural rhythms, fostering a lasting emotional bond with the textiles that surround us.
