Fashion’s favorite chameleon has his sight set on a new horizon. A$AP Rocky has been appointed as Ray-Ban’s inaugural Creative Director, signifying a significant shift in the brand’s direction.
The partnership will see Rocky launch the Blacked Out Collection in April. The range features reimagined Mega Icons with gold-plated details and ultra-black lenses, blending classic design with contemporary style.
“I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving,” said Rocky. “I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban.”

Ray-Ban’s President Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio emphasised the strategic alignment, noting that Rocky’s ability to transcend multiple creative disciplines perfectly complements the brand’s pioneering spirit. “He’s a visionary artist and creator. His ability to push the boundaries of the diverse worlds he explores, aligns with the Ray-Ban DNA. We are reinforcing the brand’s values of innovation, pioneering spirit, and courage.”
Beyond designing eyewear, Rocky’s role will encompass campaign direction and store redesign, integrating music, fashion, and artistic expression into the brand’s global strategy. With his extensive experience in music, fashion, and design, Rocky brings a multidimensional approach to this groundbreaking appointment.
