Say goodbye to your neon workout clothes. rag & bone took neutral colors and transformed the sportswear standard. Rather than focusing on texture and prints (even though there were few containing such looks), Marcus Wainwright and David Neville riffed on simple sportswear. The collection featured sandals and sneakers which contributed to the idea of simplicity and athleticism.
Many of the looks contained jackets and coats without shirts, which reminded us of Maggie Fitzgerald of Million Dollar Baby. The pieces were oversized – including dresses – which gave the idea of comfort and relaxation after strenuous activities.
With very simple accessorizing, this is the collection for active yet stylish girls. Perhaps, next time you see a girl walking down the street wearing rag & bone, you might not want to mess with her – she might be just coming out of a kickboxing class.
