Tommy Hilfiger isn’t done with engines quite yet. After lending his masterful hands to ‘F1 The Movie,’ the all-American brand is going back to its preppy roots with the launch of The Hilfiger Racing Club. Landing this autumn, the collection is prep culture like you’ve never seen it before.
The wardrobe is a New York prep reboot: tartan shirts, water-repellent barn jackets, wool-blend trench coats with bold checks, Oxfords under rugby tops, loosely knotted ties, softened pleats, relaxed denim, and the Americana staple – the American Icon bag. Traditional NY-rooted prep codes are ripped slightly through the ever-unapologetic Hilfiger twist, offering new takes on layering and texture-play.
“Reimagining prep has been at the heart of my creative vision for 40 years,” says Hilfiger. “This season marks the start of a new chapter with ‘The Hilfiger Racing Club’ opening our latest campaign series and bringing a fresh twist to a celebrated moment in the preppy social calendar.”
The campaign revives motorsport glamour with Nicholas Hoult, actor and actual vintage race driver, and supermodel Claudia Schiffer behind the wheel. Shot through the lens of Glen Luchford, every frame echoes tradition while sprinting ahead with fresh originality and style that looks and feels timeless.
For Hoult, the campaign hits home:“Tommy’s take on this collection has the same energy I love about the racetrack. It reflects the classic American prep style he’s known for – timeless and effortlessly cool.” And Schiffer adds: “Tommy has an extraordinary talent for creating collections that feel timeless and playful. It’s that joyful spirit of self-expression that he’s encapsulated with this campaign – he invited us into his world, and it was wonderful to be a part of it.”
This campaign is the opening chapter of Hilfiger’s broader “You’re Invited, No RSVP Required” ethos, an attitude that reimagines preppy fashion with defiance, freedom, and individuality. This new style statement, however, has always been the brand’s defining trait ever since its founding in 1985 to the more recent pop culture moments. But it will also be the inspiration behind all future seasons.
The Autumn 2025 collection will be available online, in Tommy Hilfiger stores worldwide, and through select wholesale partners throughout the season.
