louis vuitton | la beauté cosmetics

Trust Louis Vuitton to make a lipstick feel like an heirloom. The Maison’s first step into make-up, La Beauté, skips the cycle of seasonal drops and passing trends this time. Instead, it frames beauty as collectable art, something as fitting on a dressing table as it is tucked into a Vuitton trunk.

At the helm is Dame Pat McGrath, DBE, appointed Creative Director of Cosmetics. A legend who has defined the faces of fashion for decades, McGrath now lends her artistry to shaping Vuitton’s vision of beauty. The result is a meeting of audacity and savoir-faire, promising products with both gravitas and glamour.

The debut collection opens with lipsticks, balms, and eyeshadows: quintessential objets d’art designed by industrial visionary Konstantin Grcic. Each is refillable, meticulously crafted, and finished with McGrath’s unmistakable twist.

With 55 shades in total (a fun reference to LV in Roman numerals), lipsticks come in satin and matte textures, enriched with rose, jasmine, mimosa waxes, shea butter, and hyaluronic acid. The Rouges are each perfumed with a bespoke floral accord by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, creating lip colour that feels as indulgent as it looks.

Balms, lightly tinted, deliver a sheer wash of hydration. Infused with shea butter and lifted with mint and raspberry notes, they are designed to bring comfort with a touch of elegance.

Meanwhile, eyeshadows, the LV Ombres, arrive as eight refined quads. Each palette balances three versatile shades with one bold accent, across finishes from matte to glitter — perfect to flatter any type of skin. The palettes are also enriched with squalane, camelina oil, and a radiance-boosting “light-up” effect.

Completing the line are small leather goods, including lipstick pouches, mini trunks, and even a Vanity Trunk, all crafted as modern heirlooms that transform make-up into a daily ritual of luxury. Every detail, from the click of a case to the sweep of colour, has been meticulously thought through. These aren’t pieces meant to be used and discarded; instead, they’re designed to be kept, cherished, and collected.

La Beauté sets a new rhythm for luxury beauty. Just as Vuitton’s trunks, fragrance, and fashion long ago transcended utility, this collection expands the Maison’s vision into a lifestyle where make-up becomes an emblem of artistry, identity, and empowerment.

The Rouges, Baumes, and Ombres will be available on Aug. 29 online and in select Louis Vuitton stores. Discover more here.
