Even as a young girl in elementary school Flo Milli knew her path to greatness would be through music. That’s when it clicked for me.” Flo Milli’s appeal lies in her distinctive sound. This achievement, she attributes to her determination. “Resilience has helped me the most,” she says. “I’m serious about who I am and what I want. I don’t let anything get in the way of what I want.”

At 24, Flo Milli is part of a new wave of artists creating the soundtrack to social media. With every few swipes, you’re likely to encounter one of her songs, like “Never Lose Me,” currently trending on apps like TikTok and Instagram, and featuring superstars SZA and Cardi B on the remix. Flo Milli humbly credits her hometown and the women who raised her for her success: “I looked up to my mother, grandmother, the strong, ambitious women in my family and in my city. Alabama instilled hunger, determination, and survival skills in me. It taught me that nothing was going to be handed to me.”

Looking ahead, the future looks bright for Milli. She is set to tour North America with rapper Gunna and has just released her second album, “Fine Ho, Stay,” which she says represents being “fearless, strong, that I love myself, and that I know my worth.” Reflecting on her success, it’s clear that Flo Milli connected with fans from the start by finding her strength, honing her craft, and persevering in her own lane.
