oakley 50th anniversary | the ellipse limited-edition frame

Fifty years ago, Oakley was a garage dream with motocross grips and a thing for chaos. Now? It’s a global symbol of sport, speed, and sci-fi cool. To mark the big 5-0, the brand is dropping the Ellipse 50th Anniversary, a limited-edition frame shaped like its own logo, as if the Oakley DNA took physical form and asked: “What’s next?”

The Ellipse frame plays with time. Its curved edges nod to the fearless graphics of the ’90s, the stem takes a jog from the top-selling Radar EV, and the lens is sculpted using PhysioMorphic™ Geometry — a.k.a. Oakley’s most futuristic shaping yet. It’s like an artefact from the future (if you know, you know).

Finished in a Midas Fleck colourway, the frame carries a black lucid sheen and hits of gold — a low-key flex with maximum impact. The Prizm™ 24K lenses gleam with the kind of high-def colour that turns landscapes into movie sets.

“The Oakley Ellipse 50th Anniversary celebrates half a century of Oakley innovation by taking the most iconic bit of our branding and putting it front and centre as a design element,” says Nick Garfias, VP of Design. “If you take the logo off any of our products it should be unmistakably Oakley, and the Ellipse 50th Anniversary is the clearest manifestation of that… ever.”

The Ellipse is available in limited quantities online, flagship stores, and select partners worldwide.
