lv footprint soccer | pharrell kicks off a new era of luxury sport

Fashion has always flirted with sport, but Pharrell Williams’ debut Louis Vuitton LV Footprint Soccer sneaker takes the game into uncharted territory. First seen on the Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway, this sleek silhouette delivers a fresh twist on cleated footwear — complete with Vuitton’s unmistakable signatures and a healthy dose of Pharrell’s playful touch. Fans of the House’s long-standing dialogue with sport, from Virgil Abloh’s basketball-inspired LV Trainers to the cult-favourite Keepall Football, will immediately sense the continuity of craftsmanship, audacity, and whimsy.

Rooted in football nostalgia yet thoroughly modern, the LV Footprint Soccer makes its mark — quite literally. The padded rubber outsole features an elongated LV logo and floral Monogram motifs arranged to leave a five-toed imprint on soft ground, a cheeky reminder that even luxury leaves tracks. This tactile detail recalls Vuitton’s knack for blending storytelling with savoir-faire, echoing the playful irreverence of the Monogram-embossed LV Archlights or the futuristic design of Abloh’s LV Skate.

The upper, quilted in sloping lines inspired by aerodynamic cleats, elevates athletic precision with calf leather craftsmanship. Topping it off, the fold-over tongue — hiding monogrammed laces — is embossed with a custom LVERS UNITED logo, a nod to football fandom. True aficionados will note the small Vuitton stamp in an athletic font and the year 1854 stitched on the heel, a subtle hat tip to the House’s beginnings. It’s this kind of meticulous detailing that turns Vuitton pieces into objects of obsession.

Colourways are bold, monochromatic, and unapologetically cool: black, white, red, blue, and forest green. Tonal prints and crisp white accents create depth, while the outsole extends the shoe’s colour for a cohesive, sculptural feel. Think Pharrell’s penchant for playful vibrance, paired with the House’s legacy of precision — it’s luxury with streetwise swagger.

For those who’ve followed Vuitton’s fashion-sport crossovers, from Marc Jacobs’ Murakami-era skate decks to Kim Jones’ cult football collaborations, this drop is a collector’s moment waiting to be laced up.

The LV Footprint Soccer is available for pre-order on LV.com and the LV App from 26 December, with a global in-store launch on 2 January.
