H&M Atelier’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection arrives with a sense of contrast at its core. It’s a wardrobe built from familiar codes, including workwear, tailoring, and utilitarian staples, but recast with unexpected finishes and tactile richness. Think of velvet cut into utility jackets, pinstripe suiting dialled up in volume, and overcoats whose broad shoulders carry a subtle sense of authority.
Menswear here is about comfort as much as impact. Silhouettes lean long and relaxed, trousers stacking at the ankle to meet the new season’s leather boots, while oversized proportions create a rhythm between volume and length. A wool overcoat stretches the line upwards, while a short padded jacket in cotton velvet anchors it back down, its deep brown tone catching the season’s light. Even workwear gets elevated, featuring a canvas jacket trimmed with a velvet collar that tempers grit with softness.
The palette follows autumn’s natural cadence: beige, brown and cognac shades form the foundation, interrupted by sharp greens, like emerald and bottle, that cut through the softer shades. Fabrics are equally layered: Italian-milled weaves, dense cotton, washed canvas, velvet, and fine wool checks that shift between texture and colour. Overshirts in these materials bridge everyday jersey and cotton bases, turning layering into an art form.
“This season plays with workwear codes and classic menswear references, as well as infusing something more opulent,” says Ana Hernández, Menswear Designer at H&M Atelier. “I really love the ease with which this collection brings contrasting elements together.”
Launched in 2024 as H&M’s capsule menswear line, Atelier continues to refine its identity: considered design, tactile fabrics, and wardrobe essentials for the contemporary man. This season, the brand is making a case that the modern wardrobe isn’t a fixed uniform but a narrative told in layers and textures, a story born from the thoughtful combination of practicality and polish.
The H&M Atelier Autumn/Winter 2025 collection will be available in selected stores worldwide and online from 2 October 2025.
