Normal fashion rules suggest you should button your blazer properly and hem your trousers, but H&M Studio is asking you to throw that advice out the window for Spring/Summer 2026. This season is about colouring outside the lines with a wardrobe that feels deliberately off-centre and beautifully weird.
The main collection steps away from perfection to explore “asymmetry, unexpected proportions” and a playful interplay of colour that celebrates the nonconformist in all of us. As Ann-Sofie Johansson, the creative advisor and head of design for womenswear, explains, “The eccentric muse of H&M Studio S/S 2026 lives in contrast” and “dresses for the joy of becoming herself.”
This season’s wardrobe is a tribute to unshakeable confidence and the fun of dressing up. The tailoring anchors the lineup but refuses to be stiff, seen in a classic brown check coat with an elongated neckline that evokes the comfort of a bathrobe. There is also a sharp black blazer featuring a high back slit and inward-curving armholes that reveal a raw-edged lining peeking out from the sleeves. Trousers get a sculptural update with wide legs and waistbands that can be folded to the back or front depending on your mood.
Textures span from leather and wool to alpaca blends, while the colour palette mixes standard black and grey with offbeat hues like candy floss pink, pistachio green and pale turquoise. Among the standout pieces, there’s a denim set with expressive painted brushstrokes for a raw finish and a black lace dress that bares the shoulders with trailing straps.
Accessories add to the wit with burgundy pillow-shaped leather bags, a burgundy fabric-draped heel with a diamond-shaped front and bold jewellery featuring playful, fuzzy blooms with a brushed vintage finish.
Before the official launch, H&M Studio Essentials arrives on February 5 to cleanse the palette with a range of architectural tailoring. This earlier drop draws on 90s minimalism and blends it with subtle athletic references to create staples that are built to last. Key items include a shrunken cashmere cardigan with a double placket and a sheer piqué-inspired top with a long row of mother-of-pearl buttons. Johansson notes that the clothes can “morph into whatever she needs, wherever she’s going,” making this a collection designed for interpretation and reinvention.

The H&M Studio Spring/Summer 2026 collection will be available in selected stores and online on March 5. H&M Studio Essentials will be available early on February 5. Find out more here.
