At this year’s Berlin Tennis Open, FILA felt right at home. The Italian heritage brand returned as the event’s premium and sports apparel partner, bringing its usual confident style to the week-long tournament.
Their role extended far beyond simply dressing the ball kids and line judges, though their crisp white polos and court-ready outfits certainly caught attention, especially online. On-site, FILA set up shop with a retail booth open to all spectators, offering pieces from their current collections and drawing queues during player meet-and-greets. Visitors could browse, chat, and occasionally catch a glimpse of athletes signing autographs between matches.
The weekend also saw the return of the Berlin Tennis Junior Open presented by FILA, a grassroots competition that ran alongside the finals. Held in collaboration with the TVBB, the youth tournament gave young talents (many already making names for themselves on the junior circuit) the chance to play on the same turf as the pros.
Here, rising stars like French Open junior doubles champion Sonja Zhenikhova and German U12 champion Daria Strogalshchikova showcased their talents on grass, drawing crowds of fans who lingered between main draw matches to catch a glimpse of the next generation in action.
In the stands and around the venue, influencer guests and local creatives joined the brand in its hospitality space — a relaxed lounge area designed for both conversation and celebration. It was a fitting way to lean into the Open’s theme this year: Wimbledon flair meets Berlin.
As a label that has outfitted tennis legends from Björn Borg to Ashleigh Barty, FILA’s ability to bridge tradition and contemporary relevance stood out. In Berlin’s sun-soaked setting, the brand found the perfect match: fusing sport and style, its legacy and innovation, in a way that felt grounded and authentic.
