When a British sound pioneer links up with a supercar legend, the result isn’t just sleek, but sonically charged. Bowers & Wilkins and McLaren Automotive continue their high-octane partnership with three new releases: the Px8 McLaren Edition headphones, Pi8 McLaren Edition earbuds, and the Zeppelin McLaren Edition speaker. Dressed in Galvanic Grey with Papaya Orange detailing, each product is precision-tuned to deliver the kind of audio performance that feels as visceral as stepping into a McLaren cockpit.

“The shared ethos of pushing the boundaries, innovation, and the pursuit of perfection is apparent in all products that both brands have collaborated on to date,” says George Biggs, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at McLaren Automotive. “With the new headphones, the immersive audio experience that all receive in our supercars can now go beyond the road.”

The Px8 McLaren Edition turns Bowers & Wilkins’ flagship wireless headphones into a high-speed sensory thrill. Built on the award-winning Px8 platform, they now wear a livery Bruce McLaren would’ve approved of, with custom 40mm Carbon Cone drivers that act like precision-tuned components. Their angled architecture creates a wide, dynamic soundstage full of nuance, including deep bass, crisp treble, and zero distortion. Throw in top-tier adaptive noise cancellation, and it’s just you and the sound.

If pocket-sized is more your style, the Pi8 McLaren Edition earbuds are a more compact expression of the same system. The metallic charging case now comes with McLaren’s signature orange accenting, and inside, the earbuds house dual hybrid drivers, tuned for reference-grade playback. With robust fit, adaptive ANC and Wireless Audio Retransmission tech, they’re built for fast-paced travel — whether on a jet, in the garage, or during a warm-up lap.

“This reimagining of our award-winning earbuds elevates our long-term partnership even further,” adds Giles Pocock, VP of Brand Marketing, “by combining the unmistakable design DNA of McLaren with our industry-leading audio products to create an attention-grabbing version of our Pi8.”

Then there’s the Zeppelin McLaren Edition: a bold reinterpretation of B\&W’s iconic wireless speaker. Now with McLaren detailing, it delivers full-bodied stereo through 240 watts of amplification, with a dedicated subwoofer flanked by left and right drivers. It connects over Wi-Fi, supports high-res streaming, and integrates with B\&W’s Formation and Panorama systems. And for those chasing true exclusivity, the Zeppelin 60th Anniversary Edition (limited to just 60 units) features McLaren racing stripes and the Speedy Kiwi badge.

The partnership itself has also hit a new gear. Bowers & Wilkins is now the official audio partner of both McLaren Automotive and the McLaren Formula 1 Team. What began in 2015 as a collaboration in the supercar cabin has expanded into a dual-division alliance, which prioritises engineering precision and a mutual obsession with performance. The Px8 and Zeppelin McLaren Editions have already scooped awards, and more co-branded releases are on the horizon, each blending cutting-edge sound with motorsport-grade design.

“Outstanding sound performance is key to making the McLaren experience even more immersive,” says Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer at McLaren Automotive. “Since 2015, engineers from McLaren Automotive and Bowers & Wilkins have worked in partnership to develop sound technologies that ensure the high level of audio quality our customers expect.”

And now, the McLaren sound extends beyond the paddock. What started with sound systems in supercars has become a full-spectrum collaboration, where every decibel carries the mark of McLaren engineering. Whether it’s for tuning out on long-haul flights, zoning in pre-race, or decompressing post-race, Bowers & Wilkins tech will travel with the McLaren F1 team across the globe.
