Tod’s continues to champion the art of Italian craftsmanship with its latest campaign, Artisanal Intelligence, highlighting the profound connection between tradition, innovation, and the human touch. Behind every product lies the knowledge and expertise of skilled artisans, a reminder that true luxury is built on mastery and dedication, not just technology.
This narrative of craftsmanship comes to life in a special art installation by renowned sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, known for his monumental plaster hand sculptures. For Tod’s Spring-Summer 2025 women’s show, Quinn created two hands gripping crossed leather ribbons, a powerful symbol of Italian artisanal excellence.
At the helm of Tod’s creative vision, Matteo Tamburini has designed a Spring-Summer 2025 collection that draws inspiration from a Mediterranean journey. The collection embodies the essence of Italian luxury — effortless elegance, refined materials, and timeless functionality — rooted in the country’s tradition of understated sophistication. Each piece reflects a sense of relaxed yet polished style, ready to accompany the Tod’s woman through her everyday adventures.
The trench coat, a classic Tod’s staple, is reimagined with fluid silhouettes in both cotton and leather, while windbreakers are constructed from resin-coated cotton or featherlight nappa leather. Tailoring takes centre stage with mélange crepe jackets and shirts, giving life to sleek suits that combine high-waisted blazers with slim-cut trousers in contrasting tones. The colour palette is inspired by the natural beauty of Italy: earthy shades of stone, sand, and vibrant hues reminiscent of green fields, blue seas, and red landscapes.
At the heart of this collection is Tod’s iconic Gommino shoe, reinterpreted in the “glove” style, featuring a series of rings that create a new signature motif. A rich, handwoven leather version adds texture and artisanal detail, while the sabot design is offered in both brushed and premium leathers for an elegant summer update. Sandals take on the brand’s Barretta detail, with a slim metallic band that adds a refined touch to the quintessential summer footwear.
The collection’s commitment to craftsmanship is further expressed through its range of handbags, where exceptional materials and saddle-like stitching define each piece. The Di Bag Folio line is expanded with a new Hobo version in brushed calfskin, while the Di Bag Swing introduces warm shades of bronze and ochre. Meanwhile, the Barretta series, distinguished by its subtle metal band detail, offers lightweight shoulder and bucket bag options, perfect for a breezy yet stylish summer.
