For Festive Season 2025, Lanvin is effectively cancelling the concept of the typical loud holiday party. There are no sequins, no chaotic social marathons and definitely no throwaway novelty gifts. Instead, the oldest French couture house is turning up the intimacy, framing the season as a series of warm moments shared around a dinner table.
It’s a mood shift that feels distinctly Lanvin. Under the creative direction of Peter Copping, the House is veering towards a more intimate type of look – one designed to move beautifully through a private gathering. We’re talking fluid dresses with elongated sleeves sitting alongside high-neck tops and pronounced shoulders.
There is a heavy emphasis on texture, with satin, velvet and draped jersey building dimension without needing excess embellishment. The palette features deep wines, ivory, night black and muted metallics, all of which look best by candlelight.

The signature Lanvin eccentricity arrives via the accessories, which act as the essential characters of this intimate gathering. The Pencil Cat Bag serves as the perfect sculptural accent with its witty, jewellery-like handle (inspired by a resting cat andiron that belonged to Jeanne Lanvin), making it an instant conversation piece amidst the hushed atmosphere.
The new Compagnon Asymmetrical Bag, available in rich suede or as a sharp leather clutch, offers a contemporary sense of ceremony. These luxurious new designs sit alongside the more practical, yet still profoundly chic, Catch by Lanvin bucket bag, reinforcing the collection’s focus on ‘heirloom’ objects that bridge historical reverence and modern desire.
Completing the look is the high-low footwear mix. While the offering includes refined pointed heels and sharp leather boots, the Curb Sneaker remains the subcultural counterpoint. Its chunky, 90s-skater silhouette and jumbo herringbone laces provide the necessary grit to balance the collection’s fluid elegance. Rounding out this vision are the reliable classics: Ballerina flats for effortless comfort and elegant silk scarves channeling Lanvin’s Art Deco geometry.
