y-3 | petra collins & moni haworth’s vision of connection

For Spring/Summer 2025, Y-3 hands the creative reins to longtime collaborators Petra Collins and Moni Haworth, who craft a visual narrative rooted in duality, creativity, and the unseen threads that connect us. Shot in Los Angeles, the campaign unfolds like a quiet meditation, blurring the line between subject and storyteller, past and present, reality and dream.

At its core, the project is inspired by quantum entanglement, the idea that certain bonds exist beyond space and time. It’s a fitting concept for a collection that embodies the ongoing synergy between Yohji Yamamoto and adidas, and for the partnership between Collins and Haworth, whose artistic dialogue continues to evolve. Captured through Haworth’s lens, the imagery plays with perception, shifting between different versions of Collins — sometimes the observer, sometimes the observed — echoing her own relationship with the camera.

A short film extends this exploration, centring on a phone call between the two as they discuss dreams, those brief yet powerful moments of imagination. Against this backdrop, Y-3’s latest pieces, including the Y-3 REGU MARY JANE and Y-3 REGU BOOT, emerge as part of an ethereal, in-between world.
