“Black Hole” redefines emptiness not as an absence, but as a threshold of possibilities where what remains hidden holds as much weight as what is revealed. The film, directed by Spanish photographer and filmmaker Federico Reparaz, explores interstitial spaces that oscillate between the beautiful and the unsettling, the evident and the concealed. Spaces that are structured through the paradoxes of the fleeting and the suspended. The project also investigates the notion of emptiness not merely as an absence, but as a realm of possibility where what is left unseen is just as significant as what is revealed.
Shot entirely on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, this choice of medium was driven by its ability to deliver a precise and detailed visual aesthetic while simultaneously allowing for an ethereal, dreamlike atmosphere. The film follows model and writer Aine O’Leary as she recites the opening lines of a National Geographic documentary on black holes, moving through different locations in a wintery Normandy — a forest, the river’s edge, the ruins of an abandoned house. The tension arising from her presence within these liminal landscapes, between what is spoken and what remains unsaid, between beauty and eeriness, immerses the viewer in a state of uncertainty, making them an active participant in the visual narrative’s resolution. Shot alongside Erea Azurmendi and edited by Manu Azurmendi, the creative team also includes stylist Giorgia Ferrari and makeup artist and hairstylist Aniela Fik.
As Spring creeps in, we’re still dreaming about winter whims in this Schön! editorial photographed by Maxime Leyravaud with fashion by Adrien Bedoucha who dresses model Taylor Zeng in looks by 2UNI, Empty Behavior, Simone Paris and others. Today, the worlds of Maison Margiela and Christian Louboutin intertwine in a pas de deux, unveiling their inaugural capsule shoe collection. The collection unfolds in two distinct yet interconnected narratives: Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin and Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela. Like mirrored reflections, these twin capsules — comprising of three and four beguiling shoe styles — dare to splice the genetic codes of both Houses, harmonising their quirks and commonalities.
Conceived by the visionary John Galliano and the iconic Christian Louboutin — kindred spirits bound by a friendship that traces back to the beginning of their respective careers — the collection is a masterclass in creative expression. Available in select boutiques across the globe and on the websites of both Houses, this launch is a celebration of craftsmanship, artistry, and mutual admiration.
The Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin capsule reimagines the Maison’s signature Tabi through Christian Louboutin’s lens. The red-soled maestro infuses the iconic split-toe silhouette with his renowned savoir-faire, transforming it into a sinuous new creation. Unlike its traditional iteration — where the toecap is simply cleaved — the reinvented Tabi is sculpted from two distinct pieces, their meeting point forming a heart-shaped cleft.
A bridal masterpiece beneath the Maison Margiela banner, it encapsulates the soft femininity that threads through the collection. The Loubiella sandal, inspired by Christian Louboutin’s Rosalie silhouette, perches gracefully on a 100mm stiletto. Completing the trio, the Marlougiela ballerina embraces an elongated, razor-sharp form, its sculptural silhouette heightening the collection’s siren call of sensuality.
The Bridiela Una Strass dazzles in mesh, adorned with Christian Louboutin’s signature hand-applied crystal encrustation — an echo of the opulent embellishments found in the Maison Margiela 2024 Artisanal collection. Its palette oscillates between the Maison’s moody blacks and silvers, softened by the delicate blush hue emblematic of Christian Louboutin. The Loubiella unfolds in supple black patent leather or platinum-textured leather with a homage to the Artisanal collection’s weathered aesthetic. Finally, the Marlougiela materialises in black or deep red soft patent leather, as well as black, blush, and silver mesh, all adorned with glistening strass.
As the two Houses entwine their creative DNA, this capsule collection brings together two of fashion’s most renowned creatives.
