Dolce&Gabbana knows how to command a room — or, in this case, a flash-filled runway. For their Men’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, Paparazzi, the designers transported us to a world inspired by the timeless glamour of the “dolce vita” era, a nod to a time when paparazzi lenses captured the elegance of Italy’s golden age.
The interplay between seduction and masculinity was the blueprint of the collection, with silhouettes that exuded nonchalance. The models sauntered down the runway with a certain ease, as if they’d just stepped off a film set, caught mid-scene by the ever-watchful paparazzi. It wasn’t hard to imagine your favourite celebrity in the soft, oversized blazers with exaggerated lapels or the slouchy, pleated trousers that seemed to drape as naturally as a second skin. And let’s talk about those textures — thick, hand-knit sweaters and heavy flannels you’d want to wrap yourself in on a chilly Roman evening.
But Dolce&Gabbana didn’t stop at retro romance. There was something refreshingly modern about the way they treated these pieces. The leather and denim had a worn-in, lived-in look that gave the whole collection a relaxed, almost rebellious edge. Crumpled t-shirts paired with precision-tailored outerwear made a bold contrast in favour of a more laid-back look.
Speaking of outerwear, it’s always a Dolce&Gabbana staple, but this time, it felt lighter — fur-free and modern, paired with sheepskin-detailed sweatshirts and layered with casual pieces for a look that felt more approachable, even playful. Yet, it still carried that unmistakable Dolce&Gabbana polish.
Brooches adorned with delicate floral and bow motifs glimmered on blazers, offering a touch of 1940s elegance that felt so fresh against the pared-back styling. Matching necklaces added just enough drama without feeling overdone, while sunglasses with vintage-inspired details hinted at a quieter kind of luxury.
Then came the footwear — a mix of double-buckle boots, polished lace-ups, and sneakers with contrasting details that managed to feel classic and contemporary all at once. The bags, crafted from supple Taurus leather, were understated yet impossibly chic.
