Next in line in Denim & Supply’s cool series of collaborations for #ProjectWarehouse, sculptor and illustrator Arran Gregory is the third participant to showcase his artistic talent in the creative marathon. After Avicii and Alexa Meade, who engaged with Denim & Supply fans worldwide with, respectively, a music video audition and a “live painting”, Arran Gregory will produce exclusive denim illustrations for #ProjectWarehouse.
With a unique graphic style of geometric sketching at the heart of his work, Arran Gregory breaks down the two-dimensional limits of illustration through his sculptures. Taking inspiration from nature, his sculptures depict a wide variety of wildlife – his subjects being mainly wild animals – and he adds a kinetic element to his work through animation. A self-trained illustrator, Arran Gregory’s work showcases his fascination for line, shape and form. After studying at Chelsea College of Arts in London, he went on to create the 3-dimensional renditions of the geometric illustrations that had become his signature style. The mirror bear was the first of many mirrored creations. His studies in graphic design were fundamental in defining his pared-down, linear style.
Using denim as a canvas, Arran Gregory is working with Denim & Supply on #ProjectWarehouse to create unique pieces in his signature geometric sketching technique.
