Nothing in these images is intact. Everything has been torn, taped, stained, handled. Each photo went through a manual process because no emotion is clean, and nothing that matters comes out perfect. The sea is the first setting, but it’s not just a background. It’s part of the transformation. The tide pulls, wets, erases. It changes things. The body enters the water not looking for calm, but for another way of being. Of feeling. There’s no drama—just what it is: cold, movement, a soaked dress, foam up to the knees. Then night falls. The body stays, but stops resisting. Clothes cling. Expression shifts. Gestures become quieter, more closed off. The camera doesn’t look for beauty—it looks for truth. Each image has a different treatment because none of them tells the same story. Some were altered with paint, others with cuts or tape. It’s not decoration—it’s part of the narrative.
This isn’t a sequence. It’s a collection of fragments. Each one stands on its own. Each one needs its own shape, its own texture, its own noise. Like a memory built from pieces. Like an emotional process that doesn’t follow a straight line. This isn’t a polished version of anything. What you see is what’s left after going through something. What’s still in progress?
