Through the striking photography of Paul Scala and the impeccable styling of Contributing Fashion Editor Kay Korsh, Schön! showcases the sharp aesthetic of men’s Autumn/Winter 2013 tailoring. Kenzo and Missoni draw inspiration from the natural world around them (think organic textures and earthy hues), while McQueen, Etro and Lanvin opt for a kaleidoscope of colour, most notably Alexander McQueen’s stained glass printed suit. Valentino and AMI, on the other hand, exude classicism and heritage in their use of Prince of Wales checks for an equally bold effect. Despite differences in execution, the ideology is the same: subverting traditional tailoring with contemporary influences. The effect is a strong and athletic take on men’s tailoring for this season.
