At Suno, true to the African origins of the label, F/W 15 was full of prints, embroideries, and unconventional hemlines. Everything went below the knee, and the palette was of stripes, deep dark floral prints, turtlenecks, fur trim, wool, office-height heels, and slicked back folded up ponytails, making the Suno girl look like the younger, art-school cousin of the Céline woman. Knitted Christmas-style jumpers and polo neck dresses gave an ironic distance to the unconventional conventionality that Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty have been cultivating since 2008.
