As an international team, we pride ourselves in being a global family. So, for Issue 33, we decided to look at the interconnectedness of the metropoles and cities that bring us together. Differences connect us, identity defines global. #OneWorld
Starting Stateside, model Taja Feistner is captured by Alexander Saladrigas in an autumnal Long Island for our cover, while in New York we sit down with Grace Gummer, who talks us through political realism of Mr. Robot. In Hollywood, Sylvia Hoeks lets us in on the highly anticipated reboot of Blade Runner. In the British capital, Iwan Rheon – a.k.a the über villain Ramsay Bolton – discloses details on his new series, Inhumans.
The new digital sphere universalises space as the Netflix phenomenon brings us a host of screen stars. First and foremost, David Harbour and Caleb McLaughlin bring Hawkins to us, ahead of Season 2 of Stranger Things. Tommy Dorfman, star of 13 Reasons Why, gives us insight into his life now, while screen Icon Kathy Bates talks to us about getting high and the importance of medical cannabis with her new show, Disjointed. In LA, young star Dove Cameron leads the way into a parred-down experience of the city and Delilah Hamlin brings young beauty to our pages.
Fashion-wise, Margherita Missoni flies the colours of the iconic Italian family business, and music breaks borders down as Lil Yachty discusses positivity, Desiigner reveals ambitions for a life of emotional wealth, Kacy Hill talks us through her album Like A Woman, and Perfume Genius provides a poetic insight into his artistry.
Surfing the very waves that bring us together, these are the individuals defining local identity as an interconnected family. As Phillip Lim eloquently tells us, Think Global, Act Local.
