Photographer Thanassis Krikis and fashion editor Nicholas Georgiou capture through the lens the essence of the exhibition ‘Beyond Dress Code’ held at Hellenic American Union and Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Greece. Containing creations designed by Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano, the exhibition was a testament to the traditional Greek costume as an unending inspiration in fashion. Prominent Greek fashion designers featured include Sophia Kokosalaki, Yiorgos Eleftheriades, Dimitris Dassios, Andria Papadopoulou, Deux Hommes, Ioannis Guia, Loukia, Parthenis, and Blind Adam. The exhibition was based on the largest collection of drawings of traditional Greek costumes and headdresses from all areas of the country.
