aethos mallorca | live by the sea

A listening bar on the roof, a yacht at the ready, and charcoal-grilled sobrasada on the menu — Aethos has officially landed in Spain. Perched on the cliffs of Peguera, the new Aethos Mallorca opened its doors in June, marking the lifestyle hotel group’s first property in the country.

“Aethos Mallorca is a significant milestone and our first step into the Spanish market,” explains Benjamin Habbel, CEO and co-founder of Aethos. “This hotel stands for our commitment to creating places that reflect the local culture and natural beauty of their surroundings, while providing an elegant and authentic experience.”

The five-star boutique hotel brings its modern design to the local Spanish authenticity, offering 61 rooms and suites, a sleek spa, a poolside bar, and two standout restaurants. At ONDA, Mallorcan cuisine reigns supreme. Everything is seasonal, unfussy, and charcoal-kissed, from freshly caught fish to caramelised ensaimadas and grilled shrimp.

Right on the edge of the infinity pool, IKAT offers a Mediterranean dining experience that’s both light and fresh. The menu showcases regional produce, grilled vegetables, crisp salads, and just-caught fish, all complemented by classic bar dishes, house-made lemonades, and signature cocktails (the Apricot Mai Tai is already a house favourite).

As the day winds down, the rooftop becomes the island’s most elevated listening room. RAIG pairs panoramic views over Cala Fornells with curated vinyl sets, intimate DJ sessions, and live acts from some of Europe’s most respected club scenes, including Berghain, Blitz, Lux Frágil.

But Aethos Mallorca doesn’t stop at sea views. Its true focus is on immersive, personalised travel experiences. As part of the Aethos Experience programme, guests can explore the Finca Biniagual island vineyards with a guide, visit Mercat de l’Olivar with the renowned ONDA chef, embark on an expedition through the UNESCO-protected Tramuntana Mountains, or simply soar into the sunrise in a hot air balloon. For a quieter escape, the in-house spa offers a hammam and vegan Woods Copenhagen treatments. Alternatively, you can also book the 26-metre Aethos yacht for private trips, onboard dinners, or overnight stays along the coast.

Aethos Mallorca joins the group’s growing collection of hotels in Italy, France and Portugal, with more on the horizon. But like every Aethos location, the Mallorca house is designed to be a one-off — rooted in its surroundings, and built for travellers looking for something slower, more connected, and entirely their own.
