For its third consecutive season, the House of Originals—a brand space created by Saucony—re-opened in Marais during Paris Fashion Week from June 20 to 24. The event space, transformed by doodled artwork, vintage TVs, and walls of shoes, invited guests to celebrate their 125th anniversary by exploring their key autumn/winter 2023 pieces, as well as giving those in attendance a sneak peek at their spring/summer 2024 styles. Hosting live performances and customized caps from artists Francesco Caporale (FRA! Design) and Frankie Curtis (curtiscreationz), in addition to a DJ set by Jordan Page (VeryADVANCED), Saucony sure knew how to entertain guests.
The highlight of the event, however, was the announcement of Saucony’s second collaboration with New York-based brand Colour Plus Companie. With heritage, design, and innovation at the heart of the Saucony brand, collaborating with Colour Plus Co. made perfect sense. Founded by Jordan Page, the brand is known for its high-quality tees, hoodies, and totes designed with innovation in mind. Combining Saucony’s technical expertise and longstanding reputation in the sporting industry with Colour Plus Companie’s dedication to designing comfortable and quality garments produced expertly crafted and eccentric designs.

The brand first joined forces with Saucony back in February, launching the iconic Jazz 81 sneakers with a Colour Plus Co. twist. Working together for a second time, the brands joined forces to reconceptualise the Grid Shadow 2. The style, inspired by the vintage Saucony boot, The Trekker, was originally intended for high-performance running, but with Page inspired by the ‘90s hiker aesthetic, it quickly became a trail running sneaker. Influenced by Page’s travels, each sneaker represents a different habitat, fluctuating from stiflingly hot to extremely cold. Available in three styles—Beach Ramble, Forest Wander, and Arctic Trek—the shoes reflect different natural environments with a colour palette ranging from earth brown to arctic blue.
The sneakers, set to be released this week exclusively at SHINZO Paris (Beach Ramble), in October (Forest Wander), and late Autumn (Arctic Trek), all feature Colour Plus Co. x Saucony branding and come in a custom box depicting the beach, forest, or snowy terrain depending on the colourway.
