review | olivia rodrigo live in london

The purple carpet was well and truly rolled out for the first London night of Olivia Rodrigo‘s GUTS tour at the O2 arena, supported by California singer-songwriter Remi Wolf. It was possibly one of the most lively shows the venue has seen this year. The pop star opened with the catchy bad idea right? It was a lively intro for Rodrigo’s hit-filled show ranging from pop ragers to moving ballads like Vampire and Traitor. Mid-show the star did a quick outfit change, switching from her sparkly two-piece to a matching black ensemble for her viral breakout song drivers license which made for an anticipated throwback to her debut album SOUR.

Rodrigo captivated crowds with her choreography while her entourage of dancers performed effortlessly in sync. It was a beautiful backdrop to Rodrigo’s immaculate vocals. The dreamy set design switched to a starry night sky with Rodrigo riding a crescent moon over fans during enough for you and lacy. From a production standpoint, Rodrigo hit the nail on the head with her live show. She interacted with fans, her dancers ignited crowds and Rodrigo never failed to hit every vocal while stomping around the stage like an angry teenager, ending the night with her hit good 4 u.
