A dose of North American craftsmanship came to London this month as Chicago-founded footwear label Cole Haan opened its first space in Harrods. After seducing the British buyers with the launch of Cole Haan spaces in Liberty and Selfridges last year, the brand opened a men’s shoe salon on the lower ground floor of the capital’s finest shopping emporium in Knightsbridge this month.
Couched in a sophisticated metal blue space, Cole Haan brings the motto Manhattan to Maine, Invention and Reinvention into being: the contemporary collection takes its inspiration from everyday city living, to transform and reinvent the status quo into something extraordinary. Led by innovation, Cole Haan has cultivated its craft of forward-thinking design, whilst staying true its roots. In true innovative form, the collection comprises a variety of styles – from trainers to smart shoes – with highlights being the uber-light brown and black 2.ZERØGRAND Oxford shoes, crafted with laser technology.
New launches include the GrandPro with StitchliteTM Runner. With their on trend upper soles in knit, the ZERØGRAND Wingtip Oxfords – the shoe for the summer, we might add –brings all the innovation of flexibile, breathable and ergonomic design to Harrods, all the way from the US to you.
