Set within contemporary Japanese urban environments,
Between Walls observes how the human body and clothing exist
in close proximity to architectural surfaces.
Rather than acting as expressive subjects,
the figures remain quiet, positioned on the same plane
as walls and boundaries—
not fully separated,
yet not entirely absorbed.
Subtle shifts in posture, distance, and gaze introduce moments of dissonance,
where the body appears both integrated and slightly out of place.
The images do not describe the city,
but suggest a space shaped by repetition, stillness,
and a quiet misalignment.
