Schön! uncovers a little-known Portugese cultural treasure in issue 27 as features editor Huma Humayun discovers the country’s most visited museum, Serralves. Designed by Portugal’s celebrated architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, locally known as ‘Siza’, the modernist building saw the 15th Anniversary of the museum and the 25th Anniversary of the foundation that supports it in 2014. Humayun interviews the architect about the building’s rich history and it’s journey to becoming a 21st century hub of contemporary art and architecture.
