Schön!’s official New York Fashion Week FW14 photographer Ger Ger eagerly captured Zana Bayne’s world of luxury leather in these exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from her very first runway show. Known for her hand-crafted harnesses, this collection for divinely dominant creatures was her first foray into a territory that encompassed Ready-to-Wear in addition to Accessories. Makeup artist Benny Hancock, painted the girls’ lips a deep, devilish red, giving their eyes a dewy glow while Linh Nguyen for Cutler/Redken slightly curled their hair, leaving a slight wave in their locks.
When we parted the velvet curtain into Bayne’s world backstage, the scene was overrun with models, organisers, and photographers, while the designer herself stood by her designs on the clothes rack, observing her muses being brought to life. We asked her how she was feeling and she looked at us with a quiet smile. “We’re ready,” she said.
