Schön! travelled to Poland for the chance to meet the stars of Warsaw’s rising fashion scene for a heart-warming weekend of fashion, food and reveling.
Hot on the heels of Paris, New York and Milan, Warsaw, Poland’s mesmerizing capital, opened its doors to a host of industry insiders with collections on show from their best designers. International Press attending the event had the chance to meet in-demand designers Ania Kuczyńska and Mariusz Przybylski, as well as Tomasz Ossolinski and the recent graduate Zosia Ufnalewska.
Schön! met and viewed the current collections of Ania Kuczyńska, who has attracted attention worldwide for her minimalist pieces and impressive use of colour. Next in line was Mariusz Przybylski, one of Poland’s best known fashion designers, whose impressive collection featured sharp displays of colour, encapsulating both menswear and womanswear.
Impressive collections by Tomasz Ossolinski, who released his current collection a year after he was spotted at 15, debuted luxury womenswear with trademark black and white pieces. Also displaying her current collection was recent graduate Zosia Ufnalewska, who wowed the crowds, with her womenswear collection.
The weekend proved that Warsaw can hold its own, when compared to the established fashion cities, and stands strong next to the current scene in East Berlin. Warsaw, with its panoply of independent designers and avant-garde boutiques, is a rising star on the international fashion scene.
