zendaya x on | shape of dreams

Zendaya is currently operating on a promotional schedule that would break a normal human being. Navigating a relentless run for the release of A24’s psychological rom-com ‘The Drama’ – where she and heartthrob Robert Pattinson play a couple whose relationship implodes days before their wedding – and the scandalous, much-delayed return of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3, the actress somehow found time to lock herself in a design studio. While ‘The Odyssey,’ Christopher Nolan’s epic starring Zendaya as Athena, looms on the July horizon, she is currently focused on a more grounded kind of world-building. Reuniting with Swiss sportswear giant On, she has just unveiled her first fully co-created footwear and apparel collection.

Alex Griffin, Chief Marketing Officer at On, notes the significance of the move: “Zendaya’s creative spirit is felt in every detail – shaping how performance and style come together.”

The relationship between the two is entirely authentic; Jonathan Anderson famously introduced her to the brand during the ‘Challengers’ shoot, leading Zendaya to approach the label herself to pitch a partnership that officially launched in 2024. Now, trading simple endorsements for a spot at the drawing board, she and her loyal stylist Law Roach have developed a lineup that fuses high-fashion instinct with Swiss engineering. The collection features the Cloudnova Moon – a sleek, visual evolution of the signature Cloudnova – alongside versatile essentials like half-zip anoraks, drawstring midi skirts and parachute pants.

“It’s been so much fun to collaborate with Law and the On team on these essentials,” Zendaya says of the creative process. “We wanted to create pieces that feel versatile and easy to wear – styles that move with you across different moments. We started with the idea of making people feel confident and effortless, and we built everything out from there.”

Academy Award-winning director Spike Jonze directed the accompanying cinematic campaign film, ‘Shape of Dreams.’ Set inside a surreal, imagined design laboratory called ‘The Dream Lab,’ Jonze captures the frantic energy of the collaboration as garments stretch, shrink and transform in a way that defies typical activewear tropes. “Working with Spike Jonze brought that vision to life in a really special way – the world he created gave it a whole new dimension,” Zendaya says.

Zendaya continues to treat clothing as a storytelling medium, actively shaping the lifestyle identity of any brand she works with.

The collection arrives online, in On stores and at select retailers worldwide starting April 16, just as she prepares to “disappear for a little bit” post-2026, offering fans a final, tangible piece of her current aesthetic.
