Woolrich has once again proven that outdoor wear doesn’t have to mean neon Gore-Tex and a grim sense of survival. The brand’s sought-after Outdoor Label Designed in Japan – its cult-status line created in partnership with the Japanese tech-apparel experts at Goldwin – has just unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.
Titled ‘Breeze of the Fields,’ the collection pivots away from extreme performance and leans into a more reflective, bucolic mood. This is the label’s signature move: fusing the ruggedness of Woolrich’s 190-year American archive with the meticulous, zen-like precision of Japanese design.
Unsurprisingly, this collection is inspired by the steady rhythm of rural life. The line translates this feeling into relaxed silhouettes (perfect for layering a proper knit underneath), deeply tactile textures and a colour palette that feels plucked from a misty morning landscape with all warm earths and soft, glowing sky tones.

Two standout pieces are already creating a buzz. First, the Check Fleece Mountain Parka, which sidesteps the usual tech-fleece look. Crafted from recycled wool by the prestigious Italian mill Becagli, its bold, oversized check feels both authentic and distinctly modern.
For those who still appreciate a nod to the technical, the Nylon Classic Fishing Jacket deftly balances archival references with smart, functional construction. It’s a prime example of the collection’s ability to be both strong and light, practical and polished.
It’s a collection that celebrates the power of simplicity, built for an effortless transition between city and nature. Or, at the very least, from the Land Rover to the nearest gastropub.
