What happens when biker culture meets a brand best known for wrapping your feet in sheepskin? UGG and Willy Chavarria have an answer: apparently, the outlaw can be tough and cuddly at the same time. The California-based footwear brand and New York designer are joining forces for their first collaboration, bringing rugged leather, chrome hardware and biker-inspired silhouettes into conversation with the unmistakable comfort of UGG.

Launching alongside the collection is ‘UGG and KISSES’, a campaign that takes the idea of family and turns it into something distinctly Chavarria. Drawing on the designer’s Mexican-American heritage, the imagery brings together actors Danny Trejo and Eva Longoria, global star Becky G and singer-songwriter Ivan Cornejo as a contemporary Latino family, loosely inspired by the 1990s sitcom ‘Married… with Children’. The result plays with the humour and chaos of the classic family sitcom while introducing Chavarria’s own cultural perspective, with the designer himself making a playful appearance at the end.

“We’ve designed this collection to be fierce and friendly. The archival influence of leather culture wrapped in the warmth and intimacy that only UGG can provide,” says Chavarria. “UGG and I remind you that you are untouchable and you are loved. This is my love letter to the outlaw in you.”

The collection focuses on five unisex footwear styles that reinterpret familiar UGG silhouettes through a tougher, more utilitarian lens, joined by a graphic T-shirt and embroidered sock. The Guard Boot centres the footwear lineup as a substantial full-grain leather style equipped with a moulded toe cap, pull-on handles and a protective shin guard. Its imposing exterior is lined with UGG’s signature sheepskin, creating a contrast that makes the boot feel simultaneously ready for the road and perfectly suited to putting your feet up afterwards.

The Biker and Relaxed boots look further into UGG’s archives, drawing from the vaulted Birch Collection first introduced in 1999. Both arrive in slouched black leather with custom Chavarria chrome hardware, pairing the attitude of classic biker boots with the warmth that made UGG famous in the first place.

Elsewhere, the Otzo Clog is given a Chavarria makeover in supple leather, premium wool jersey lining and bespoke hardware, while the Hotel Chavarria Slipper takes its cue from the familiar hotel-room staple and elevates it with a leather upper embroidered with Chavarria’s signature crest. Two smaller pieces complete the offering: the 100% cotton Hug It Tee features a playful ‘Let’s UGG It Out’ graphic, while the coordinating Sock carries an embroidered Willy Chavarria insignia.

The collaboration first appeared on the runway during Chavarria’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at Paris Fashion Week, where Romeo Beckham was photographed wearing the collection. Now, the full collaboration brings that runway moment into a wider story about comfort, identity and cultural connection.

The UGG Willy Chavarria collaboration launches on 10 September online, at select UGG retail locations and selected retailers worldwide. Discover more here
