Tommy Hilfiger has found a new prep-school hero, and he is considerably better at catching footballs than confiscating phones. For Autumn/Winter 2026, your favourite ‘gym teacher,’ Travis Kelce steps into the designer’s New York world for the new ‘Only in New York’ campaign, starring as the brand’s global brand ambassador alongside Gigi Hadid, Jisoo, Peggy Gou, Frances Tiafoe and Carmelo Anthony. “Bringing Travis and this incredible cast together felt like celebrating everything I love about the city – its optimism, charisma and endless sense of possibility,” says Hilfiger.

The timing feels almost suspiciously perfect. Kelce has only just become one of New York’s newest residents-by-marriage, having tied the knot with Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden earlier this summer. Now he is back in the city, this time at one of its most recognisable addresses: The Plaza, where Tommy Hilfiger lived with his wife Dee for more than a decade.

“Tommy brought us into his world at The Plaza for this, and it doesn’t get more classic New York than that,” says Kelce. “There’s a magic to this city, and I love that you never know who or what’s around the corner. We had a blast tapping into that unique energy with a cast who truly embody the vibes that make this city so special.”

The campaign plays out like a very well-dressed house party: Kelce moves through the legendary landmark, crossing paths with the rest of the star-studded cast as if The Plaza were simply Hilfiger’s very glamorous living room. And then there is Kelce himself – his reputation for a slightly dad-ish, cuddly, all-American charm makes him an unexpectedly natural fit for Hilfiger’s version of modern prep. Because it is 2026, even the family comes with a surprise guest: Kelce’s incredibly fluffy white Samoyed, Wendy, makes a standout cameo in the campaign after Kelce volunteered her during the shoot.

The clothing leans into that ease rather than trying to turn him into someone else. Varsity jackets, cable-knit sweaters, Oxford shirts, rugby-inspired layers, wool peacoats, and relaxed tailoring give the football star plenty of room to look like himself – just with considerably better outerwear.

That same attitude runs through the wider Autumn/Winter collection, which continues Hilfiger’s ‘Prep Made Current’ formula by taking familiar American staples and giving them a seasonal update. Cable-knit sweaters are the big heroes, joined by comfortable crewnecks and quarter-zips, while rugby shirts return in new proportions and richer fabrics. Varsity jackets remain firmly in the mix, alongside mixed-media jackets, wool pea coats, car coats and softly padded layers designed for the sort of New York weather that cannot make up its mind. The familiar red, white and blue palette also gets an autumnal treatment, appearing through deeper seasonal colours and archive-inspired details.

Kelce’s appointment as global brand ambassador earlier this year already hinted at a longer relationship with the house, including a forthcoming joint fashion line slated for Spring 2027. This campaign marks their first major collaborative chapter and placing it in Tommy’s old Plaza home makes the introduction feel more like an invitation into the family.
