It’s that time of year again, folks! Summertime brings sunshine, dresses and cocktails on an exotic beach. As thousands of Brits flock out of Britain for their sunshine fix, it is sometimes easy to forget all the things you might miss while you’re off sunning yourself on the French Riviera. Going on holiday abroad is all about soaking up the country’s culture, gastronomy and sights, but you can’t be blamed for missing a few home comforts.
This year, Antler celebrates 100 years as a Great British Luxury Travel brand and as such set out to find out about what is inside the typical British Traveller’s bag or suitcase in 2014. To do this, they launched The Great Antler Brit Kit and conducted a nationwide survey to find what little luxuries and indulgences us Brits miss most while gallivanting across the globe.
A huge percentage of you claim to miss ghd Straighteners, followed closely by Elemis, John Frieda Haircare and finally Neal’s Yard Skin Care.
The survey also captured further insight into other must have products British travellers take with them, with technology coming a close second to beauty and food items. Indeed, a lot of us Brits just can’t get away from modern technology with 20% opting to pack their trusted tablets with them for a relaxing break away.
Jack Neilan (Marketing Manager) at Antler commented: “As a luxury travel brand we were keen to better understand the travelling habits of our customers and gain further insight into what British consumers want to take with them on holiday. This helps with product design and innovation which can be seen in our latest range of design inspired hard cases and our innovative light weight soft suitcase designs.”
