the coach charm playground at selfridges

A playful reverie unfolds in the heart of London as Coach celebrates the opening of “The Coach Charm Playground,” an enchanting pop-up conceived in collaboration with the storied Selfridges at its iconic Corner Shop. Taking residence from 27 April to 22 May 2026, the immersive installation marks a defining local milestone — one that reaffirms Coach’s devotion to crafting transportive, joy-infused experiences that blur the lines between retail and fantasy.

“Partnering with Selfridge’s Corner Shop is a key landmark for Coach as we continue to explore new and exciting ways to authentically engage with our UK community and strengthen our presence within the EMEA market,” says Matteo De Bortoli Albricci, senior vice-president and general manager, EMEA at Coach. “With self-expression and community at the heart of our global Spring 2026 campaign, collaborating with Selfridges on this localized activation allowed us to create a unique shopping experience within one of London’s most iconic retail locations with the aim of redefining the retail journey for the end consumer. As part of an exciting strategy of continued expansion within the region, this activation allows us to bring Coach’s heritage to life in an immersive community-focused way, placing our customers and icons at the heart of the experience”.

Infused with the house’s irreverent spirit of play, the space brings Coach’s most beloved codes vividly to life. At its centre, a monumental Rexy — Coach’s cult dinosaur mascot — emerges in exuberant form, transformed into a gleaming slide for adults, equal parts nostalgia and spectacle. Close by, a charming apple-shaped photo booth pays homage to the brand’s New York roots, inviting guests to step inside a world of whimsy — capturing, creating, and sharing tangible moments of delight.

Elsewhere, the iconic Tabby bag is reimagined on a grand scale, morphing into an interactive installation that doubles as a monogramming station. Here, personalisation becomes an art form. Anchored in Coach’s ethos of community and self-expression, a dedicated charm and customisation atelier hosts a four-week residency by London-based fine-line tattoo artist The Social — offering visitors the chance to imprint their individuality onto the brand’s enduring icons.

The offering is as covetable as the setting itself. Visitors are invited to explore a curated edit of the Tabby — rendered in supple pebble leather and plush quilted suede—alongside timeless hues of black, chalk, and warm brown, punctuated by exclusive flashes of fuchsia and sky blue. The narrative extends to Coach’s New York family of bags, including Empire and Brooklyn, as well as new Kisslock and Turnlock silhouettes, complemented by a considered selection of runway-ready RTW and accessories.

“In a world full of noise and constant distraction, we wanted to create a space where people can tap into their inner child and regain a sense of wonder through our Coach icons,” says Giovanni Zaccariello. “Charms are the central theme throughout, because we wanted to underpin Coach’s belief in self-expression in a playful way — taking classic Coach codes and supersizing them. The Rexy slide and apple photobooth act as the centrepieces of the experience, encouraging our community to come together and create memorable moments within the space.”

With The Coach Charm Playground, Coach not only deepens its dialogue with a new generation but also cements its place within the ever-evolving cultural tapestry of Selfridges’ Corner Shop, joining a lineage of visionary brands that have transformed the space into a stage for imagination, community, and contemporary luxury.
