stella mccartney x renée rapp | the new falabella campaign

Renée Rapp is officially the new face of the Stella McCartney Falabella campaign. Your bank account might take a hit this week, but the singer would probably remind you that it is ‘not her fault.’ The outspoken voice of a new generation brings a fresh perspective to a design that has defined conscious luxury since its initial debut in 2009. Rapp has been a frequent friend of the house, regularly attending the designer’s Paris runway shows, making her appointment as the face of the accessory a very natural progression. She reflects a younger demographic that values individuality, responsibility and self-expression.

The Falabella itself carries a rebellious history. Stella McCartney named the soft, slouchy silhouette after her favourite breed of horse, ensuring the entire production process remained entirely cruelty-free from the very beginning. The brand guarantees that the accessory is vegan down to the glue, crafted without any leather, feathers, fur or exotic skins.

The lineup features the classic tote in various sizes – from the spacious Overnight and Fold-Over iterations to the compact Mini and Tiny versions. Modern additions to the collection include the sleek shoulder bag and the clutch, all maintaining the signature slouchy form and diamond-cut chain that make the Falabella instantly recognisable. Each piece features a diamond-cut chain crafted from recycled brass and recyclable aluminium, framing a body lined with recycled polyester. Artisans in Italy spend over three hours hand-lacing the edges with organic cotton rope, demonstrating that high-end construction absolutely does not require animal products.

Such a singular vegan composition gives the bag a cross-generational appeal. The imagery highlights the inherent duality of the accessory, celebrating it as both a disruptor and a timeless classic in design and attitude. Rapp brings her own unapologetic energy to the legacy, carrying an icon shaped by the past directly into the future.

Anyone feeling a little ‘too well’ after seeing the new visuals will find the collection available in boutiques globally, online and via selected retailers worldwide.
