prada holiday 2025 campaign | a winter’s tale

Who says a road trip can’t be cinematic? Prada’s Holiday 2025 campaign turns the simple act of driving home for the holidays into something far more stirring – a snow-dusted journey through memory, friendship and the beauty of coming back.

Filmed and photographed by long-time Prada collaborator Glen Luchford, ‘A Winter’s Tale’ unfolds like a scene from an unmade film: a group of friends winding their way through a glacial landscape with headlights catching on silver birches, illuminating an entire white tree forest.

Brand ambassadors Maya Hawke (‘Stranger Things’), Damson Idris (‘F1’), Letitia Wright (‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’), Louis Partridge (‘Enola Holmes’) and Li Xian (‘Go Go Squid!’) gather as a “chosen family,” each bringing their own kind of luminosity to the frame. The group of friends is captured travelling in different cars – each featuring a holiday tree lying on its roof – as they take a break in the snowy forest or look out the windows.

Under the direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the campaign reimagines the winter archetype through its accompanying collection. Winter classics are subtly re-imagined, taking familiar pieces in unexpected directions. Silky slips are layered under technical outerwear and soft velvet transformed into sculptural tops. Shirting is dramatically oversized, unfurling into languid, floor-grazing silhouettes.

Even the knitwear gets a structural boost with hidden crinoline linings and crisp cotton poplin is reshaped into something almost architectural. A deliberately imperfect bejewelled embroidery threads through everything, from rich cashmere to tough drill fabric, lending each piece a sense of unique beauty.

Collarless loden wool blazers, crisp cotton drill dresses with embellished collars and the new Petit Sac Noir evening bucket bag in Re-Nylon framed by smooth leather handles make up the season’s core wardrobe, joined by an appearance from the house’s emblematic Pyramide Bag – a timeless counterpoint to the collection’s modern edge.

Prada describes ‘A Winter’s Tale’ as a celebration of the holiday period “as a time of kinship and sharing, of stories, and of exceptional encounter.” The campaign will also feature a series of short films, each dedicated to one of the cast members, offering glimpses into their own memories of the season.

Last year’s holiday campaign saw the cast gathered around an eccentric dinner party alongside Prada’s iconic ‘Trick’ robot charms. This year, the story moves outdoors, trading clinking glasses for car headlights and finding something profound in the act of getting lost together.
